Meiomi was created by California vintner Joe Wagner, whose family also founded Belle Glos and Caymus, blending Pinot Noir grapes sourced from three cool-climate California regions — Sonoma, Monterey and Santa Barbara — into a richer, riper, more approachable style than traditional Burgundian-influenced Pinot Noir. Its accessible, fruit-forward profile drove rapid growth after launch, leading Constellation Brands to acquire the label in 2015.
