Smirnoff traces its roots to Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov's Moscow distillery, founded in 1864, and is today owned by Diageo as one of the world's best-selling vodka brands. Smirnoff Minty Jamun is a 2025 India-specific launch under Diageo India's "Flavour is a Vibe" campaign, built around jamun (Indian black plum) paired with mint — a flavour combination drawn directly from Indian street-food and summer-drink traditions rather than a global Smirnoff flavour simply localised for the market. It sits alongside standard Smirnoff No. 21 as a limited, India-first flavour innovation.
