United Breweries created Kingfisher Strong for the enormous segment of Indian beer drinkers who want higher ABV. The strong beer category in India is unusually large — many drinkers genuinely prefer fewer bottles at higher strength. At 8% ABV Kingfisher Strong is significantly stronger than the Premium. The malt body is more substantial to support the alcohol and the result is a beer that does what it is designed to do honestly.
